Recommendation as set out in the main report.

1.     Approves the submission of a Place Partnership bid to Arts Council England and the cash match contribution from the City Council as outlined in this report;

2.     Subject to a successful decision from the Arts Council, delegates authority to the Corporate Director - Planning and Governance, in consultation with the Chair and Vice Chairs of the Committee, to progress the detailed development of the bid and programme delivery arrangements, including entering into all necessary legal agreements; and

3.     Notes that the Place and Economic Development Committee will receive updates on the programme as it progresses.

The Committee is invited to pass the following resolution:-

That under Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the following items of business on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of information as defined in Schedule 12A of the said Act.
