Of the meeting held on 27^th July 2020 to be approved and signed.

RESOLVED: That the minutes of the meeting held on 27^th July 2020 be approved as a correct record and signed remotely by the Chairman.

1.   That the Local Development Scheme 2020-2023 set out at Appendix 1 is approved to come into effect from 1^st October 2020; and

2.   That delegated authority is given to the Corporate Director – Place in consultation with the Chair and Vice Chair of Place and Economic Development Sub-Committee to make minor amendments to the LDS prior to publication.

The Sub-Committee considered a report on the updated Local Development Scheme.

The Senior Planning Policy Officer presented the report and explained that it is considered good practice to update Local Development Schemes at least annually.

The four main changes to the LDS include: updates to South Worcestershire Development Plan Review timetables; updates to the Travellers and Travelling Showpeople Development Plan Document; updates to the positions of Neighbourhood Plans and Minerals and Waste Planning and updates to the Statement of Community Involvement to allow for temporary measures to be applied relating to consultation methods as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Sub-Committee noted the reasons for the delay to the South Worcestershire Development Plan Review.

RESOLVED: That the Sub-Committee:

1.   recommend that Council approve the Local Development scheme 2020-2023; and

2.   delegate authority to the Corporate Director – Place in

consultation with the Chair and Vice Chair of Place and Economic

Development Sub-Committee to make minor amendments to the LDS prior to publication.
