Proposal to Introduce 'Real Time' Air Quality Monitoring Equipment to Manage Air Quality pdf icon PDF 297 KB

For Committee to:

 

1.   Note the contents of the report and in particular the proposal to introduce ‘real time’ air quality monitoring equipment at various locations across the City

2.   Endorse the submission of a grant funding application to the Department of Environment, Food & Rural Affairs ‘Air Quality Grant Scheme’ that would require match funding as set out in recommendations 1.3 and 1.4

3.   Recommend to Environment Committee that the capital programme be amended by £4,500 for match funding the capital grant if the bid is successful

4.   Recommend to Environment Committee the approval of annual revenue funding of £2,500 to commence from 1st April 2023

5.   Note that a further report will be submitted to this Committee in Spring 2023 should the grant funding application be unsuccessful or partly unsuccessful in order to review the provision of ‘real time’ air quality monitoring equipment
