Licence Review Under Licensing Act 2003 The Sub-Committee are asked to consider a review of a licence under the provisions of the Licensing Act 2003. This is a reconvened meeting of the Sub-Committee held on 26th February 2024.
Exempt – not for publication because the item contains information relating to any individual and also relating to the financial or business affairs of any particular person – categories 1 and 3 Minutes: The Sub-Committee had met on 26th February 2024 to review a Personal Licence as the licensing authority had become aware that the licence holder had been convicted of a relevant offence.
The Sub-Committee had resolved at that meeting that they did not propose to revoke the licence and under the provisions of Section 132(9) of the Licensing Act 2003. The hearing was adjourned to enable the required Statutory Notice to be served on the Chief Officer of Police for the area.
Following receipt of a response from the Police, the Sub-Committee reconvened at a hearing on 10th April 2024.
Members were informed that the Police did not wish to make representations regarding the decision not to revoke. Members were satisfied that, based on the information presented to them, they were not required to suspend or revoke the licence and it would therefore continue. |
